Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It's been a really fun winter, in terms of snow. Perhaps some of us would be questioning whether the word "fun" is applicable due to all the shoveling that ensued.

We have really enjoyed all of the snow. Hopefully we get to go sledding before all the snow disappears.

Early in December, we went out and cut down our own Christmas tree. In my family, almost every Christmas we would have one real tree and one or two fake trees (depending on how motivated my we were to decorate). It was Bryce's first time cutting down a Christmas tree, and actually his first time having a real tree to decorate!

As it turns out, there are quite a few places in the area to cut down a tree. We chose to go just 20 minutes down the road to Clover Hollow. We got a Douglas Fir and picked out a nice homemade wreath. We would recommend it if you're looking for a place. They were really nice, answered our questions, gave us a saw and measuring stick to choose our tree, and helped package it up. We were pretty impressed with the machine that got our tree all tied up, too.

Our first real Christmas tree!! (last year, in our little apartment, we had enough room for a cute litte 2 foot fake tree)
