We hung out around downtown on Friday night. After dinner, we went to see the "Drum Circle." Basically, it's a little park like area where people gather every Friday night to play drums together and dance. It was pretty interesting! The crowd was really into it. I have to admit, a big part of me wanted to get out there and dance to the beat! I really liked the feeling of community in Asheville.

We spent ALL day (9am-5pm) at the Biltmore Estate. The weather started out pretty dismal, but by the end of the day, it was perfect and actually pretty warm. It was kind of like Disney world (but without the rides and multitudes of amazed children. One ticket in and you could go all over. I think the common misconception is that there's just a big house to see.

After the pretty awesome house tour, we went all through the gardens including a rose garden, walled garden, huge conservatory, and walked around a lake with tons of fish in it. The gardens and conservatory were gorgeous.

We drove a couple miles along beautiful country roads to the winery, more restaurants, farm, vegetable garden, and hotel. I think the farm was my favorite.

We were mesmerized by the wood worker and the blacksmith giving demonstrations. I would like to be a carpenter and Bryce a blacksmith.

We also ran into Kate and Jeff who spent their 6 month anniversary in Asheville! Funny that we went to the same place and we live just a few minutes away from each other. We had breakfast with them at an awesome restaurant.
Happy 3rd Anniversary, husband!
