On Friday evening, we drove to Floyd. We got good ol' country cookin' at The Pine Tavern. I love their biscuits and the fried chicken. After dinner, we went to the Floyd Country Store for the jamboree.
Roger loves bluegrass. I love it more every time I hear some. Connie got asked to dance soon after we walked in...I think the fella had his eye on her! He was a pretty good dancer for his age and even had the tap shoes. It was hilarious and awesome.
AND he promised me I was next after he caught his breath. It was harder than I thought! I broke a sweat in one song. I admit, it took some guts going up in front with a whole audience watching on all sides, but totally worth it!
It was especially fun seeing older people and younger people altogether laughing and enjoying themselves with the music.
On Saturday, we went to breakfast, the bookstore, and then tailgated with Jeff and Kate before the VT vs. Arkansas State game.
Bryce luckily found 4 tickets together for face value in a section that we could SIT DOWN in! Hooray for that. I get worn out standing up for 3+ hours.
I hope them come visit again soon! We had so much fun!
oh my goodness! I love that video of Connie dancing. So cute...and yes, hilarious! I'd love to go there with you guys :)
