Back in late October, Bryce had a business trip to San Francisco for a conference. This Fall, he was gone 8-10 days every month. So on this one, I jumped at the chance for us to join him. It was almost a full week, so on the front end, we visited Nanny for the weekend.
It was so fun for Nanny to visit with Madison, see her walking, and of course, for us to catch up. We enjoyed late dinners, a shopping afternoon (baby-free, thanks, Bryce!), and chats in our pajamas until noon with her favorite instant cappuccino.

I didn't take too many photos, mainly because Madison doesn't sit for photos anymore (or really sit long at all), but luckily I was able to grab one before we left with the 3 of us girls.
Late Monday, Madison and I joined Bryce in the city. We got a good dose of city for 4 days before we left to head home on Thursday, Halloween night. We stayed on the 19th floor of our hotel and Bryce got a note under his door explaining that it's normal (and not to panic) when the building sways to and fro with the heavy winds. Yikes.

While he was at the conference all day, Madison and I would walk up and down the hills of the city and explore different areas. I researched a little before we went and found this
post very helpful on how to explore San Francisco with a toddler. We didn't do a whole lot other walk a lot, find fun city playgrounds, eat, and go to the library. It was really fun, especially since I haven't ever stayed in the city.

| Walking the city was so tiring, but we (I) really got to see a lot |

The last day, Bryce skipped out on a couple sessions so he could hang out with us before our flight left for home. We took a fun cable car ride all the way from the financial district to fisherman's wharf. We ate pretzels, saw the seals at Pier 39, and walked around in the sunshine. We took the cable car all the way back up to the financial district and then just before we headed to the airport, we got to grab lunch and catch up with Aunt Christie.

The flight home was one of the more stressful flights with Madison. She wore herself out running around the terminal for over an hour and fighting to get on the escalator. Once we finally got on the plane, at 8pm (bedtime!), she screamed and fought sleep for an hour and 45 minutes. Just in time to fall asleep before we landed. Luckily, she was so worn out once we got home that she didn't have a hard time going down. Worst plane ride so far but the trip was worth it!
Loved all of these pictures and your recap so much!!! I would love to see SF and I'm so glad you got to join bryce on one of his many trips. Madison is so darling, and looks like she had an awesome time!! You guys are the most fun parents :)
