Carter unfortunately hasn't had the full treatment that Madison had with her nursery since we are in the middle of a big overseas move. With that, he has been sleeping in the office-turned-nursery with a desk as his changing table, a cheap desk chair as our middle of the night nursing chair, and a rock n play as his bed. Although, he sleeps in the rock n play because it's elevated, so whether he had a crib or not, that probably wouldn't change at this point.
I made this "inspiration board" a few months ago when I was dreaming of his nursery. If I had to change it, I would change the chair to a glider. I don't love how gliders look but I LOVE them. For nursing, they are the perfect upright position but still so comfortable.
Anyways, here are a few pics of the room that he sleeps in.
I love those wood slices. On one, it says "be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." I love that quote because it is so true. I want our kids to grow up with a strong sense of compassion for everyone they meet. You have no clue what the person you're talking to has gone through or is going through. It's such an important concept to remember in all your interactions. The other wood slice isn't even finished, but I was going to put Joshua 1:9 on it, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
