The big move

Last week was our last week in Portland.  One word:crazy.    Right now we are homeless.  It is quite freeing, actually.  We have a 10x13 feet storage unit here and packed everything we absolutely needed and some things we absolutely wanted.

We will take:

1 easy going baby
1 wild toddler
2 car seats
1 double jogging stroller
1 umbrella stroller
8 large 50 lb bags to check at the airport
7 carry on bags
20+ diapers

We will go:

2920+185+42+175+501+3927=7750 miles
Portland to Raleigh.  Pack into a borrowed car.
To Myrtle Beach with Bryce's family for a week.
To Ocean Isle with my family for a week.
Back to Raleigh, NC then on the plane to Zurich with a layover in NYC.
To Kloten, CH to our temporary 2 bedroom apartment.
Then once we find one and get it figured out, to a (hopefully) 3 bedroom apartment in Bulach, CH.

When we are sitting in our more permanent new home in Bulach, I will pour myself a tall glass of wine, open up a large chocolate bar, and put my feet up.  All after taking a few very deep sighs of relief and thanking God that we actually made it.

So far, no major mishaps, accidents, or problems aside from the fact that I had to leave a few things I really wanted to bring with us but didn't have room for in the baggage.

*CH is the abbreviation for Switzerland.
