Carter: 6 months

6 months.  Halfway to 1 year old!!!

Our sweet boy is so curious.  And hungry.  He is still content and easy going.  He is easily tickled, entertained, and smiles at anyone that gives him attention.

He is rolling all over the place--he will roll 3, 4, 5 times to get closer to something of interest or just to move.

He seems to be eager to eat anything at any time.  I've bought different baby biscuits and rice cakes that he gnaws on but I still have to keep close eye since he has choked on bigger pieces.  He eats different fruit and vegetable baby food with oatmeal every day.  He also loves the little nibbler thing that we put fruit chunks in.  

If he sees us eating, he gets vocal by squealing and starts fidgeting his hands anxiously.

Sleep.  He is waking up 2-3 times a night.  Goes to bed between 6:30-7:30pm depending on our circumstances.  He wakes up around 7:00am.  He takes a morning nap around 9:00am for almost always 2 hours.  He takes a second nap in the early afternoon which is about 1.5-2 hours.  We're hoping to get him down to 1x a night...but anything is better than every 2 hours (or more)!  He is now sleeping without being swaddled and in the travel crib instead of the rock n play.   In the travel crib, we are still propping him up on pillows because his acid reflux is not letting up.  It can be an hour or more after he's eaten and he will wake up screaming and need to burp 2, 3, sometimes 4 times.  I've read a lot online.  We're trying gripe water.  He doesn't vomit often but all the other symptoms he has-burping, hiccuping, arching back and crying, he does vomit and spit up when I don't hold him upright for quite awhile after feeding.  Hopefully he grows out of it soon.

This face melts me.

And for those of you wondering, his hair is as red as it ever was.
