We dropped by their favorite breakfast place multiple times. Thanks for the food and no dish duty, Elmers.
Mimi and Pops definitely left more tired than when they arrived. The kids were sure to get them both out on the trampoline as often as possible.
Lots of walks around the neighborhood and through the park.
It was so nice that we even got to take Mimi to one of our favorite parks with the water/sand feature.
Not only that, but Pops updated ALL of our interior electrical sockets from ivory to white. The kids loved helping him.
We visited the famous Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.
And the Bonneville Dam, which happened to be very interesting with a free tour, a little museum, and a really fun fish hatchery where we fed fish.
We also dropped by Hood River to see the kite surfers and grab lunch.
Pops also helped us spread some mulch in the yard. That's right, we put you to work when you visit :-)
The day before Mimi and Pops left, I had a "dentist appointment" and got my first ultrasound to check baby's heartbeat. It was SO fun to share the news with them and the kids just before they left.
The kids loved having them there. In fact, it's funny because they usually have to go through a "withdrawal" period after grandparents leave. I'm sure this is normal, but it was especially hard because it was her birthday with lots of fun gifts AND lots of attention. Back to REAL LIFE, kids :-)
