Lately

Wow, what have we been up to for almost the last year?

Well, lots of things.  Like trying to do the Whole 30 and only ending up succeeding in a Whole 6.  Going to Bend a couple times.  Going on some hikes.  Getting back into the swing of life here in America (it's been a full year now that we've been living back in the Portland area and I can hardly believe it).  Maddie is halfway through her first year of preschool at a church.  She does Monday/Wednesday 9am-12pm.  We've also enjoyed gymnastics class for her and just this week, Carter started his own Little Gym class, which we all find very exciting for him.  I'm back in my moms group at our church.  We also hopped right back into our community group that we were a part of before we left for Switzerland and now we're not the only ones with a couple kids.  Over the summer, I was nannying for 4 kids (besides my own) part time for two months.  I spent a short time (barely a week) potty training Carter back in October (yay!!).  We enjoyed Thanksgiving here at our house with my little sister, Dad and step mom.  Then we spent a couple weeks on the east coast for the holidays, as usual, doing about 5 days in NC and 5 days in WV.  I've been reading and crocheting more, which probably has resulted in blogging hardly at all.

Hip hip hooray! Underwear for all!
But I have to say, the biggest news has to be this sweet 3rd baby that I'm carrying in my quickly growing belly.  When Carter turned 2 years old back in April, we were both feeling ready for a third.  By Maddie's 4th birthday in September, I was scheduled for my first ultrasound.  The baby is due on April 21st, 2017 and unlike the other two, we are leaving the gender a surprise for all of us.  We are so excited to meet him/her!!  I am thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far, but it's been the roughest.  I don't have lots to complain about, but the regular first trimester nausea, indigestion, acid reflux, sleeplessness and general discomfort has been worse with each pregnancy.  Needless to say, I am very excited to be holding a baby rather than a large belly.

Besides a couple comments, my husband has mentioned the most that he misses reading this little blog.  So, I'm going to *try* to get back into it.  Lots of love to whoever is sitting here reading this :-)
