Pregnancy Progress: Week 30

Aside from simply growing, there have been a couple milestones.

#1: At my last appointment at 26 weeks, she scheduled me for my glucose screening test (for gestational diabetes) and she told me that I will start having appointments every 2 weeks.

#2: I entered the THIRD trimester...aka the LAST trimester of pregnancy.  What?! Only 2 more measly months to go?  Only 2 more months to get ready?  Only 2 more months until we can cuddle our precious baby girl?  Unbelievable!

Belly (some of these pics aren't the greatest...)

27 weeks

28 weeks

29 weeks
(in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico...more on that to come!)

30 weeks
(at my Dad's wedding...more on that soon!)

Movement
Every day.  Almost all the time.  This baby is active.  So active that during the day when I am working, I get distracted by my stomach constantly churning.  Bryce gets to feel her kick more often now.  We also will feel little body parts on my stomach and try to guess what it is (foot, elbow, head, bottom).

Aches and pains
Acid reflux.  Heart burn.  Indigestion.  Some nights I have to fall asleep sitting up.  I'm still hungry every couple hours, but I can't eat very much or I feel awful.  I can't stand up or sit down for too long.  I feel like I am trying to change positions often.  I feel like I'm out of breath all the time...even if I'm just sitting, I will catch myself trying to take deep breaths.  I get worn out pretty easily.  My feet get achy after standing or walking too long.  I have to pee all the time.  I would no longer call pregnancy "comfortable".  Bending over is a serious feat.  I don't remember if I wrote this in another post, but I don't run anymore.  I love to power walk, but running just isn't on my to-do list right now.  I miss it.  BUT with all that in mind, for this little girl, I would do anything and I haven't even met her.

The crazy thing is, she is 15+ inches long from head to toe and close to 3 pounds!! (that is according to baby updates I get from babycenter.com and What to Expect When You're Expecting mobile app)  The human body is utterly amazing to me.
