Belly:
36 weeks (in the OBX)
37 weeks
How big she is: She is the size of a watermelon! Around 19-20 inches long and about 6 lbs.
Maternity clothes: I feel like I wear the same clothes every day, but all I care about is being comfortable. It seems like my belly is getting lower, so really my maternity linen pants and Old Navy jersey skirt are the most comfortable things to wear now. Can't wait to fit back into my other clothes later this fall...
Stretch marks: Not that I have noticed yet. Still putting on that lotion like crazy so hopefully they don't show up.
Aches and Pains: The acid reflux/heart burn/indigestion has gotten a lot better. I still need to sit straight up for a little while after I eat, but other than that, it's way better. Other than that, same old: achy feet, left side round ligament pain, tired all the time. Oh, and I also had to stop wearing my wedding ring about a week ago...so I guess that means I'm starting to swell.
Movement: She seems really active but in her own schedule. I can definitely tell when she's asleep and when she's awake. When she's awake, it seems like she is so big with such little room that I can feel every move she makes.
Sleep: Not great. I am getting to be a really light sleeper. Still wake up every time I turn over and can't seem to get comfortable.
Food cravings: Nothing new here. Haven't had any strong cravings.
Labor signs: Not really. I have had BH contractions usually around once a day, but not one after the other. It mainly happens when I'm being active like walking or carrying laundry up and down the basement stairs.
Belly button: Complete outtie.
What I miss: Same as before--Sleeping through the whole night, running, having a glass of wine, and feeling more flexible to move around.
What I'm looking forward to: Most of all, meeting her!! I am getting so impatient just to see her and hold her in my arms. I cannot wait to see who she looks like. It's like the anticipation has been built up for months with tons of planning and preparation, just like our wedding day, and by the last couple weeks, you just ache for it to get here already. I'm trying to keep myself busy so the days go by quicker because I can't wait to see her.
Since last update, I have had 3 baby showers, finished all her laundry (clothes from newborn to 6 months plus blankets, sheets, burp cloths, bibs, etc), worked really hard on the nursery (only thing left is to sew the curtains...will update blog soon!), we went to childbirth education classes together at the hospital, and took maternity photos while at the beach.
