After stopping by our favorite spots (the VT bookstore and TJ Maxx), Connie and I worked for hours recovering the glider cushion for the nursery. We added some foam padding to the bottom cushion and used some old painter's drop cloth fabric that I already had. Painter's drop cloth is so versatile because it's plain and a little thick. Plus, I wouldn't feel bad if we messed up since it's pretty cheap. It was sort of a trial and error job, but it ended up looking great!
Bryce and Roger did man stuff like go to Lowe's, watch Nascar and a History Channel special on WWII, fixed the book shelves in the nursery, and hung up pictures for me.
We took them to the Palisades restaurant in Eggleston for dinner on Saturday night. It was such a beautiful day!

Hooray, it's fixed! Turns out the needle was threaded wrong so the tension was nonexistent. Singer's website has a lot of manuals for their sewing machines in PDF format and good how-to diagrams. Back to work!

After church on Sunday, Connie was able to come to my baby shower before they headed home. Let me tell you, Madison is now fully ready for VT football season with cute socks, bows, a hat, onesies, and even a tutu!
P.S. Nursery update coming soon!

You did such a great job on the glider! And you look prettier than ever! :)
