Christmas 2012

Now that it's February, I decided to write about our Christmas.

It was a Christmas of firsts.  Madison's first Christmas!  We had such a fun time.  We went to North Carolina for a week to spend time with the Adams family.  It was also the first Christmas with Kim, Amanda, Laura, David, and Ellerie.  We were one huge family of 15 people!  As tradition goes, we went to church on Christmas Eve and out to Chinese at Phoenix for dinner.  When we got back home, the kids put on their Christmas pajamas.  We took tons of pictures.  Late Christmas Eve, the girls wrapped presents, told funny stories, and danced in the basement with Kim.  The boys cuddled on my Dad's bed, enjoyed vodka gimlets, and watched A Christmas Story.

Right before we started opening gifts, Madison woke up.  Shortly after Bryce went to get her, he yelled to me, "Lis, I need back up!!"  I went upstairs to find out Madison had finally gone #2 after 3 days of nothing.  As we started to change her, it was all over her back, stomach, bottom, legs, and then she got her hands and feet in it.  Merry Christmas morning!  Everyone waited on us to give her a full, necessary bath before we came back down to open presents together.

 We started opening presents around 9am.  We went one at a time, present by present, until around 11:30am, when we started moving things along a little faster.  We finally finished at noon and ate a huge breakfast together.  The rest of the day, we hung out in our pjs and played with the kids toys.

After a week in North Carolina, we drove straight to West Virginia to see the Whiteds.  We spent almost a full week visiting with Mimi and Pops.

We also just found out that Brad will be stationed at Quantico in Virginia and will not be deployed for 3 years!

We tried to get a picture of all babies with Santa, but Adelyn wasn't okay with that.
