On the drive from West Virginia to North Carolina, Maddie had her first Frosty. Yum!
I couldn't wait to get my hands on our cute new niece and nephew! Aven and Asher are the best little twin babies ever.
When we're at home, we (as in, the girls) spend many nights laughing, watching Downton Abbey (or The Bachelorette), and "girl talking" in Dad and Kim's room.
| (Dad is fast asleep in the back...he doesn't think our antics are that funny when we're taking over his room) |
Nana and Papa's house is super fun like Mimi and Pops' house. It's so nice to walk down the road to the neighborhood pool or play on our neighbor's play set and trampoline. To top it off, Papa had blueberry bushes that Maddie had her fair share of while playing outside.

Lots of bubble baths in the big tub!
Aunt Amy played some soccer with the girls. Maddie's version of soccer: quickly pick up the ball whenever someone comes towards her to try and get it.
Going to the dentist is becoming a thing whenever we go home. We love Aunt Laura's dentist office.
We had girl time (with the kids, of course) while the boys went fishing on the New River for a couple days. One of these days, we will have a girls getaway without kids just like the boys get to do so often. In the meantime, we'll enjoy these babies we all have :-)
It was such a joy to see Maddie playing with her cousins. So many special memories doing simple things like playing at the playground, swimming, or playing with dolls in the play room with Nana. We are so blessed!
On our last night in the States, we ate a delicious Mexican dinner and savored every bite. I was in heaven, sipping on my strawberry daiquiri, chowing down on the endless chips and salsa, and listening to people speak Spanish all around us.

Sigh! Trips home to the states😍😍! Such adorable pictures-all of those adorable cuties. Perfect.
