Easter with Brad

For Easter, we had the opportunity to see Brad! We were pretty excited since we never really know when we'll see him again. We last saw him in October when he had just returned from Afghanistan. This time, we flew out to San Diego for a long weekend and he was our tour guide.





He lives about an hour north of San Diego in San Clemente, right near the marine base. We loved San Clemente. It's in between L.A. and San Diego, right on the coast, but doesn't have as strong of a 'Southern California' feel to it. It's in Orange County and there are only 65,000 people who live there (small town, right?). It's a big surfing spot and the high school even has a surfing team.

The weather was awesome except for one day when it was overcast and rained a little.

We hung out in Laguna Beach for a day,


And ate at a nice restaurant overlooking the beach,





We went to an Anaheim Angels baseball game,





We went to La Jolla to see the sea lions,




And explored San Clemente.
