I was so determined to get them done before we moved because I knew if we didn't, it could be a long time before it happened and the kids are just growing up way too fast. We could set up the tripod, but getting good photos of all of us doesn't happen with a tripod and a timer. The photographer and I had to reschedule multiple times and finally we got them done 4 days before we got on the plane.
Allie was amazing, super flexible, very patient with us, and sweet with Maddie. For some reason, every time we said "Smile!" she stuck her finger in her nose, every time we said "Look at the camera!" she would look at the ground, and every time we said "Come sit down here" she would arch her back and try to escape. She is deep into toddler-dom. Thankfully my friend recommended bubbles and books the day before so that helped a little. The funny thing is, Maddie's personality shines through the photos and I love them especially for that! Allie did manage to get a bunch of beautiful photos of all of us. I would highly recommend her if you are in the Portland area!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, they are total treasures because although we have a lot of photos, we don't have a lot of all 4 of us! I didn't make the blanket, Bryce's grandma did a long time ago! He remembers cuddling with it when he was sick as a little boy...that is also a very special treasure! So special that we made room to bring it to Switzerland!
