Walking around town

Welcome to Kloten!

(photo from Wikipedia)  This photo is taken just less than a 5 minute walk from our apartment.  This is actually a pretty good playground.  I've found that playgrounds usually include 1 or 2 swings, a slide, and a gravel pit.
The town had a church and a bell tower/clock which I believe is typical because Bulach also has this.

Here are a few photos to give you a mental picture of the town we are living in.

This morning, Madison and I walked around, her on my back in the ergo and Carter in the umbrella stroller.  We took some pictures, then went to two grocery stores (Coop and Migros which are the main groceries that we'll probably shop at).  It was quite the emergency since we had 1 baby wipe left in the house and we have two in diapers.

The entrance to our apartments.

I cannot get enough of these adorable little old town homes with shutters, flower boxes, incredible gardens, and perfectly stacked wood.

And because not every building is quaint and picture-perfect, I snapped this one.  There are probably just as many modern apartment/business buildings as there are cute little old town houses.

Yes, I did dress my child in sandals with socks.  I can't resist because these shoes are the easiest to put on.

Our apartments from the other side.

Then we had lunch out on the terrace.

Now she is up from her nap!
