Hiking in Kings Day 2 and 3

The second day, we hiked 9 miles to a place called Upper Paradise. We passed Mist Falls.

The third day, we woke up early and hiked 9 miles back to the ranger station where we parked.

We hiked a total of about 24 miles and around 4500 vertical feet! At the highest point we hiked to, we were at about 6,800 ft elevation.

And let me tell you, 2 out of the 3 days were almost all uphill.

It was one of the first times I really appreciated going to bed early while camping. In fact, those 2 nights, by 7pm I was asking Bryce every 15 minutes, "What time is it? Can we go to bed yet?" I was SO worn out. But it was really fun, and we saw beautiful rivers, creeks, trees, and awesome mountains.

  3. Hey Ashley!! As for hiking/camping suggestions in Bburg, McAffee's Knob and Dragon's Tooth are always fun. Or for something different, I would look into the trails around Mountain Lake. It's beautiful up there!
