Home SWEET home!

We are back in the Burg! We actually got back on Thursday, August 19th. Our flights were interesting: San Francisco to Las Vegas (where we hopped in a cab to see the strip during our 2 hr layover...just enough time to walk a mile sweating in 102 degree weather-at 10pm at night!), then Las Vegas to DC, then DC to Charlotte, then driving home to Blacksburg. Phew! We were catching up on sleep this week.

We love vacations (if you can't tell). We have been majorly spoiled to be able to go on a couple big ones since we got married. I think one of our biggest mottos is, "If you don't do it now (while/if you can), you may never do it." Without kids, and with flexible jobs, we have been blessed.

But, one of the best parts, in my opinion, of vacations, is coming back home and sleeping in your own bed. (unpacking, finishing that last load of laundry...) AND meeting up with friends you haven't seen in awhile!!

I got some very good news a few weeks ago: I got accepted at Radford University to start my Masters in Education this fall!! (in just a few days!) It became real when we got home, went through the mail, and I got the official letter. Yay! Hopefully within about 2 years, I will have my Masters and will start looking for elementary teaching positions.

Now, we will both be busy bees in school. (but I will continue working part time from home)

Ah, we love you, Blacksburg.

  3. I work for a agrochemical company that has offices in Miami. My dad works for the same company, and helped me get the job. :)
