Dad and Kim visit: Thun

While we were staying in the mountains, we took a day trip to Thun (pronounced "Toon").  We had to take them to one of our favorite cities.  It was a short drive from our rental in Isenfluh.

Down the mountain, the weather was much warmer.  It was such a relaxing day walking for hours through town, along the river, then to the lake with a view of the mountains.

He does so well in that thing.  

We had a picnic lunch at a fun playground.  Fresh bread, cured ham, cheese, fruit, and apple schorle (carbonated apple juice which is really popular here).

We stopped to grab a coffee and hot chocolate before we headed back in the late afternoon.  I keep thinking about how crazy it was that we had great weather during their visit.  I mean, the sun was out!  It wasn't rainy or overcast every day!
