A couple months before I began blogging, almost 1.5 years ago, I became pretty addicted to reading blogs. Personal blogs, food and cooking blogs, home design and decor blogs, friends' blogs, sewing blogs. At points, it has taken up way too much of my time, so I'm constantly working on my time management (especially working from home).
Anyways, I was talking with Meredith this morning, and she said she found an awesome blog about home stuff. It turns out, this was one of the first blogs I started reading on a regular basis! I love it. Anyways, I was thinking that I would share the main blogs that I read on a regular basis with you, so you can gather new craft ideas, home ideas, and recipes (and/or spend more of your time in front of your computer which our generation already does too much of...)!
Favorite home blogs:
Young House Love
*The blog Meredith found-awesome How To's, Design Q&As, and simply home inspiration.
Knock Off Wood
*Building furniture yourself with plans that mimic popular designs at stores like West Elm and Pottery Barn.
Urban Grace Interiors
*A very chic interior designer that shares ideas (not just for the home), and shares about her fun life.
Design Sponge
*Inspiration. Ideas. And a lot more. Basically encompasses everything.
The Lettered Cottage
*Very beachy/cottage like inspiration from a fun young couple.
Life in the fun lane
*A lot of renovation and DIY ideas.
Favorite food/cooking blogs:
(These not only have awesome recipes that I use often, but also beautiful food photography which is something I'm falling in love with. Food can be so pretty!)
The Pioneer Woman
*If you don't fall in love with her website, recipes, and everything else, I'll be surprised! Plus, I heard they are making a movie about her love story and it will star Reese Witherspoon!! (City girl turned rancher's wife) I have made a handful of her recipes and haven't found one that I dislike yet. She even has sections of her website dedicated to gardening, photography, and home schooling kids.
Smitten Kitchen
*This blog may have some of the most beautiful food photography I have ever seen. Ever. And good looking recipes, but I have to admit, I think I've only tried maybe 1 so far.
Joy the Baker
*I love baking. This is a great site with easy to follow recipes by a real baker with a fun personality :)
Tartelette
*Great recipes from a French expatriate and pastry chef living SC.
Other fun blogs:
Fly Through Our Window
*Love her! She's a super mom, shares ideas about everything from kids, to recipes, to renovating. (She's the twin sister of Urban Grace Interiors blogger)
The Newlywed Diaries
*Inspiration and pretty pictures.
There are more that I look at from time to time, but these are the main blogs that I really enjoy.
As I am re-reading this post, I am beginning to feel like a total nerd. I guess that's why Bryce and I go well together. 1 nerd + 1 nerd= 2 happily married nerds. In Venezuela, they pronounced "nerd" as "Nair-d." And actually, they used that word as we know it. They often called Bryce a Naird.
Now, back to work.
Isn't there already a movie starring Reese Witherspoon that falls in love with a country boy and she is a city girl? oh well...gotta love the Pioneer Women, and I'm sure her movie will be better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the site! Can't wait to check them out!
I love so many of these too! You've got good blog taste :)
